Manoj K Singh is the founding partner of Singh & Associates, specialising in litigation and ADR practice. He has two decades of experience advising clients on myriad legal issues, has appeared and argued matters before the Supreme Court of India, all High Courts in India and various tribunals. He regularly represents clients in cross-border financial and investment disputes, with a proven record in the infrastructure, power and energy, port/airport, real estate, banking and mining sectors.
He also advises clients on foreign investment in India, offshore commercial borrowings, cross-border taxation, project financing, anti-dumping, energy and natural resources.
Manoj has successfully undertaken and represented clients in many international arbitrations including under the rules of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
He is the author of Infrastructure Arbitration – A Perspective a book published by Lexis Nexis. He has also penned articles on commercial litigation and arbitration with a special focus on infrastructure, which have been published on platforms including the Economic Times, CNBCTv18.com, Business Today, Business World, Live Law, Bar & Bench, Mondaq, Financial Express etc.
He has many honours including being recognised as one of the Leading Individuals in Dispute Resolution: Arbitration and Dispute Resolution: Litigation in The Legal 500 rankings of 2021, in India Business Law Journal’s 2021-22 A-List, as a Distinguished Leading Lawyer by Legal Era- Legal Media Group in its coffee table book 2019-20, as India’s Top Dispute Lawyers 2020 by Asian Legal Business, as Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year by Indian Legal Awards 2019, Legal Era, as a practitioner – Dispute Resolution, Chambers and Partners 2019, to name a few.
Manoj holds positions as chairman of the Executive Committee of the Bar Council of Delhi; assistant general secretary of the Society of Indian Law Firms; vice chair of the CII Legal Services Task Force and chairman of the Legal and ADR Committee of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. He is the board member of the North India Regional Council of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in addition to other honorary positions. He is an active partner in Advocates for International Development, undertaking pro bono legal work for non-profit organisations addressing poverty in India.
