Sherina Petit has assumed the role of head of international arbitration at Stewarts as well as head of India, contributing to the firm’s global strategy.

Petit will focus on India, Africa, the Middle East and Singapore in her new role. Additionally, she is also a member of the Stewarts Executive Committee.

Formerly the head of international arbitration for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and head of the India practice (global) at Norton Rose Fulbright, Petit also worked at Linklaters and Shearman & Sterling in London.

“We are delighted Sherina is joining us to build a market-leading international arbitration practice. We will focus on specific geographies and growing our reputation in the London market. I look forward to working with Sherina,” said Stuart Dench, managing partner.

Petit will be handling high-value, intricate disputes, leveraging her extensive knowledge and experience to provide strategic guidance to clients navigating global challenges.

She will join existing partners Daniel Wilmot and Alejandro Garcia in the arbitration team. Her arrival brings the number of lawyers in the international arbitration department to 11 and the number of partners at Stewarts to 84.
