Yulchon has expanded its international arbitration offering with the hiring of David MacArthur as a partner and co-head of international dispute resolution, the Seoul-based law firm told Asia Business Law Journal.
MacArthur was previously a senior foreign counsel and co-head of the international arbitration practice at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, which he joined in 2021 after having practised at Bae, Kim & Lee for more than 14 years.
He leads a legal career spanning more than 20 years, has advised on commercial and investment arbitrations covering different industry sectors including automotive, shipbuilding, construction and intellectual property.
At Yulchon, he will be jointly leading the international dispute resolution team – which specialises in international arbitration and Korean litigation cases involving foreign entities – together with co-heads Jeonghye Sophie Ahn and Eun Nyung Lee, says MacArthur. Lee joined Yulchon last year as a partner from Seoul-based KL Partners, a Korean international dispute resolution boutique firm he co-founded in 2015.
