R&T Asia (Thailand) has hired Nuttaphol Arammuang as a partner to head its newly established IP practice in Bangkok. Arammuang was managing partner at Zico Law in Bangkok where he joined as a partner in 2015 before taking the leadership role four years later.

The new IP practice will serve clients in contentious and non-contentious matters arising in Thailand and the region. Arammuang will lead the team in advising clients on licensing and franchising, IP portfolio management, patent drafting and searching, freedom to operate reports and analysis, trade secret management and data protection.

Arammuang brings more than 20 years of experience exclusively in IP and has assisted local and regional clients in IP services from prosecution to commercialisation and dispute resolution. His practice includes dispute matters concerning patent litigation and infringement, design, trademark and trade dress infringement, passing off, trademark invalidation and copyright litigation.

As part of Rajah & Tann Asia’s network, R&T Asia (Thailand) will use the new practice to enhance its full-service capabilities to support clients and enable stronger collaboration with nine other offices in the region.
