India’s law minister, Veerappa Moily, has announced that lawyers in the country will soon be able to practise in all courts, tribunals and quasi-judicial authorities. To facilitate the move, the government must first notify section 30 of the Advocates Act, 1961. Despite the age of the act, this section has never been notified.
