Kochhar & Co has counselled prominent Indian renewable energy company ReNew Group in its collaboration with clean energy firm Gentari, a subsidiary of Petronas.
Petronas is a global energy group with headquarters in Malaysia.
On completion of the transaction, Gentari obtained a minority equity share in ReNew’s 403MW Peak Power project.
Kochhar’s team in Delhi consisted of senior partners Pradeep Ratnam and Chandrashekhar Tampi, principal associate Samad Ali, senior associate Priyadarshinee Singh and associate Shivam Khanna.
The team provided comprehensive counsel, including transaction structuring, drafting, negotiating and finalising the documents, and managing the legal requirements throughout the transaction process for ReNew.
