Prateek Bhandari has joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) as a partner in the firm’s infrastructure, energy and project finance practice, and will be based in New Delhi.
With more than 13 years of experience, Bhandari advises on project development, corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance across the power, renewable energy, oil and gas, roads, ports and airports sectors.
His expertise includes concession agreements, power purchase agreements, engineering procurement and construction, and operations and maintenance contracts, tendering and bidding advisory, and regulatory matters. His practice also extends to emerging areas of the energy transition, including carbon markets, green hydrogen and energy storage.
Before joining SAM, Bhandari was the co-founder of Lawctopus, a platform for law students and young lawyers. He has also worked with Khaitan & Co and ICICI Bank in the past.
