International interest keeps law firms busy with DeHaat's series C round

Vertices Partners advised Indian agritech platform DeHaat in its US$30 million series C fresh round of investment led by Dutch technology investor Prosus Ventures (formerly Naspers Ventures), which was represented by Gunderson Dettmer. The deal was signed on 6 January.

Vertices Partners’ team was led by the managing partner, Vinayak Burman. Gunderson Dettmer’s team was led by partner Jonathan Pentzien, and included associates Jolyn Ang and Jacquelyn DeVore.

International interest included Russia-based RTP Global’s co-investment in the round, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital India, Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO, India’s Omnivore, and US-based online venture capital platform AgFunder.

Desai & Diwanji represented Omnivore and FMO, with the firm’s team led by partner Siddharth Mody, and including senior associates Rahul Deodhar and Prerana Chaudhari.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) advised Sequoia Capital India, and Bengaluru-based partner Akshay Bhat led the firm’s team on the deal.
