US lifts sanctions on four Indian companies for Russia links

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), under the US Department of the Treasury, has removed four Indian manufacturing companies from its specially designated nationals and blocked persons (SDN) list, whichprohibits American people and companies from doing business with those named.

Under the OFAC’s executive order 14024, companies doing business with Russia and furthering their harmful foreign activities are sanctioned and placed on the SDN list.

The companies removed from the SDN list are:

    1. RRG Engineering Technologies, a Hyderabad-based engineering company in the defence and security sector;
    2. Lokesh Machines is also based in Hyderabad, manufacturing machines, tools and components;
    3. Galaxy Bearings is an Ahmedabad-based company, which manufactures bearings for tapered and cylindrical rollers, and wheel hubs; and
    4. Shaurya Aeronautics is a Delhi-based aircraft maintenance and repair company.
