Hylands Law Firm has welcomed partners Fu Wenjuan, Huang Li, Ni Liangyue and Wu Jianli to its Beijing office.

Fu, previously a partner at Junyou Law Firm, specialises in securities, private equity funds, M&A, restructuring, state-owned asset management and investment matters. She has provided legal guidance on the establishment, registration, filing and investment activities of state-owned private equity funds and management companies. Additionally, she has represented clients in significant investment and financing transactions such as China Telecom’s A-share IPO placement and GAC Aion’s financing.

Huang, who joined from Zhong Lun Law Firm, focuses on dispute resolution, insolvency and restructuring, special asset disposal, and criminal compliance matters. He has provided legal services for well-known domestic and international companies such as Apple, Mead Johnson, Guinness, China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Corporation, Huarong Asset Management and Joint Publishing.

Ni, formerly a partner at Zhong Wen Law Firm, brings experience in handling civil, commercial and administrative litigation. He has obtained non-prosecution and dismissal in criminal cases that alleged dereliction of duty, embezzlement, and bribery of a non-state functionary.

Wu’s practice areas include dispute resolution, banking and finance, and capital markets. She has advised Tonsan Adhesive on its USD225 million equity sale to US chemical manufacturer HB Fuller, which stood as one of the largest US acquisitions in China in 2015. She has also represented several Chinese companies in their claims for Gulf War compensation at the UN.

Wu worked in Chinese legal media from 2000 to 2006 before switching to LGF Law Firm, where she practised for 11 years. After leaving the firm as a partner, she became the general manager of the board of directors at NewUp Bank in Liaoning.
