Clyde & Co’s head of aviation practice and Hong Kong-based partner Peter Coles has left the firm after more than four years to return to Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) as a partner.
Coles, who had previously been a partner at HFW from 2011 to 2019 in Hong Kong, is an expert in aviation regulations and disputes. He will relocate to the UK towards the end of the year.
With more than 30 years of experience advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious aviation issues, Coles has dealt with matters ranging from employment, insurance, commercial and transactional, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings to parting out and end-of-life.
He acts for major international airlines, operators, business and private aviation companies, and other industry clients.
Mert Hifzi, HFW’s global head of aerospace in London, said Coles is an experienced practitioner and well-known to the firm’s team and clients.
“We have plans to significantly expand our aviation offering globally and will continue to actively target opportunities to further strengthen and broaden our offering to clients across the aviation industry worldwide,” said Hifzi.
