The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) hosted an Asia-Pacific Digital Meeting to highlight the importance of gathering and sharing past experiences while exploring new ways of thinking during the current global uncertainty.

Delegates at the event heard keynote presentations from regional in-house leaders including Joseph Chan, chief legal officer at YumChina, and Lam Chee Kin, legal, compliance & secretariat managing director at DBS Bank.

“The ACC Digital Meeting attracted 300 delegates from 19 countries, and encouraged delegates to reflect on the way business has changed in legal departments, within organizations, and across regions,” said ACC Hong Kong’s president, Sandra Wu.

Meanwhile, ACC Hong Kong has announced the launch of its new website. From 1 September, the new site will provide seamless access for all ACC Hong Kong members in connecting with the global ACC community.

“Our new website will greatly enhance the user experience for ACC Hong Kong members and deliver greater exposure to a number of initiatives being driven by ACC Hong Kong,” said Wu.

“These include our support of pro-bono services for in-house counsel, and our growing calendar of online CPD [continuing professional development] events. Over the past five months, we’ve delivered a total of 20 webinars, delivering valuable professional development and continuing education to our members.

“Through covid-19 and beyond, we’re determined to continue to support our members as much as possible, and our new website will assist our efforts to support the Hong Kong in-house community.”
