Chance Bridge Partners bolstered its teams in Shanghai and Shenzhen with the addition of new partners in January.

In Shanghai, the firm welcomed Jason Wu, Hou Nini and Wilson Tang, while Luo Siwei joined the Shenzhen office.

Wu brings more than 10 years of experience in Shanghai’s market regulation system, specialising in corporate compliance, competition law and government investigations. He has extensive knowledge of regulatory matters in areas such as advertising, pricing, e-commerce, anti-commercial bribery, product quality, and the food and drug administration.

Wu previously worked as an in-house counsel at Hong Kong-listed Yixin Group before transitioning to practice at Global Law Firm and Fangda Partners.

Hou, who previously practised at JunHe and Haiwen & Partners, focuses on antitrust, particularly specialising in merger filings. She has also been involved in antitrust litigation related to standard essential patents and can provide guidance on foreign investment security reviews.

Tang and Luo specialise in dispute resolution. Tang, who practised at Zhong Lun Law Firm and DaHui Lawyers, has represented clients in various disputes involving securities, asset management, investment and financing, bond default, trade secrets, unfair competition and non-competition.

One of Tang’s notable cases was handling matters for Fujian Weijie Investment in a case with Fuzhou Tiance Industry and Junkang Life Insurance, which was the first dispute in China involving shareholding entrustment in insurance companies. It was selected as an exemplary case by the Supreme People’s Court.

Luo specialises in commercial, IP, special assets, and insolvency and restructuring disputes, including many initial cases. He can handle arbitration cases under the rules of various arbitration institutions, including the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration Institute, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and the Beijing Arbitration Commission.

Luo is also qualified as a patent attorney and has previously worked at King & Wood Mallesons, Merits & Tree Law Offices, and as an in-house counsel at Tencent.
