Shin & Kim has launched its AI & Data Centre in response to the rapidly evolving growth in this sector and increasing corporate interest in the industry.

This initiative aims to provide comprehensive consulting services, catering to clients eager to integrate AI into their data operations and pursue AI-driven data integration, including various big data-related processes, the firm said.

Jong-in Yoon, co-chair of the AI & Data Centre, said: “The primary goal … is to offer clients comprehensive consulting services for the internalisation of AI and data compliance to help them cultivate resilience for sustainable growth and survival as a company that applies trusted, reliable, and innovative AI-enabled data solutions.”

Led by experts boasting proficiency in AI and data policy, regulations and related markets, the centre will advise on legal and regulatory risks, providing comprehensive business solutions for clients’ information and communication technology operations management. The team will navigate clients through current legal requirements and strategies for integrating compliance.

The centre is also poised to offer customised onsite consulting to regional businesses, considering local characteristics and their scale of operations.

Yoon, who is widely acclaimed as the leading authority in the field of personal information and data policy, has 34 years of experience in the public sector. Jae-you Choi, who held several government posts before joining Shin & Kim in 2017, is also co-chair of the AI & Data Centre. Juneyoung Jang will oversee day-to-day operations of the centre as vice-chair.
