ADCO Law has reinforced its services with the appointment of Hanny Marpaung and Morales Sundusing to lead the capital markets and securities, and employment and industrial relations practice areas, respectively.

Marpaung has a decade of experience in capital market transactions, specialising in equity and debt. With a track record representing issuers, banks and underwriters in diverse transactions, including initial public offerings, rights issues, and debt issuances, her comprehensive knowledge in information disclosure, corporate governance, related-party transactions, and takeovers positions her as a valuable asset to the firm’s growth strategy.

“The capital market is a highly regulated field and is full of regulatory and economic aspects. By opening this new practice area, we hope to participate in developing the Indonesian capital markets,” said Marpaung.

Sundusing is a trusted lawyer recognised for his expertise in employment law, court litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Acknowledged as one of Indonesia’s 50 Future Legal Leaders by Asia Business Law Journal in 2023, Sundusing’s role extends to guiding clients through compliance intricacies in a variety of industries.

“The issue of employment law is quite a complex and growing one. Therefore, it is very important for business actors to always understand and follow these developments. The presence of the employment and industrial relations practice area at ADCO Law, in principle, aims to help each related party minimise the risk of problems and disputes occurring in the field of industrial relations,” said Sundusing.

Dendi Adisuryo, senior partner at ADCO Law, said: “Our firm has grown significantly over the past few years. Our decision to open new practice areas and bring on new partners strengthens our commitment to thrive as a law firm. I strongly believe that with these appointments, we can strengthen our practices, enabling deeper expertise and understanding for our clients.”
