Plans by FoxMandal Little, the Hinduja Group and Centric to set up a joint LPO have been scrapped less than a year after they were announced.
A memorandum of understanding was signed in January 2007 whereby FoxMandal Little’s outsourcing arm FMIT and Hinduja’s outsourcing division HMIT would each hold 30% stakes, with Centric holding the remaining 40%. In the past year Centric has been taken over by Williams Lea and renamed Williams Lea LPO.
According to Som Mandal, managing partner of FoxMandal Little, the decision not to go ahead was made because “it was not the right move for us at that time”. FoxMandal Little has since launched its own LPO, Legal Circle. However, Williams Lea and FoxMandal Little have agreed to use each other’s LPO services when doing work in India or the UK.
