Computer Patent Annuities (CPA), an IP services provider, has teamed up with the outsourcing specialist Integreon to establish an LPO in Mumbai.
The centre will provide legal support services such as litigation document review and management, deposition summaries, preparation of standard litigation documents, legal research and contract review to CPA’s corporate and law firm clients.
Established in 1969 by patent attorneys from a variety of UK law firms, CPA sought to provide an intellectual property renewals service specializing in patents. Since then it has expanded to cover a wide range of patent, trademark and IP services, such as the monitoring of all types of marks including 3D, colours, sounds, smells and gestures.
Revenue from outsourcing legal services to India continues to grow rapidly and according to a recent study by Value Notes, it may reach US$640 million by the end of 2010. The study names both Integreon and CPA in a list of the top 10 LPO providers.
