Chennai-based intellectual property boutique Global Business Solutions has rebranded itself with a new name and a fresh visual identity. The firm is now known as Altacit Global.
“We wanted a new identity and for quite some time we had been contemplating a name change,” explains Dr Sudhir Ravindran, the firm’s CEO. “Of late, lawyers [have been] allowed to advertise in a small way in India, so we thought it was the right moment to go forward with the name change.”
Commenting on the choice of name, Ravindran explained: “There is no particular significance but it was a name that was selected carefully. It’s a combination of a Spanish and Sanskrit word. “Alta” is Spanish for elevated, and “acit” in Sanskrit is someone who complements and consults.
