Merits & Tree Law Offices has officially opened its sixth mainland branch in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, with two partners, Zhong Jingjing and Liu Zhang, on board.
Zhong serves as the Chengdu office director, specialising in investment and financing, M&A, immovables and infrastructure, and dispute resolution.
Liu, formerly a partner at Henghexin Law Firm, brings expertise in taxation, government supervision and compliance, and dispute resolution to the Chengdu office. Liu has provided tax auditing services for artists and entertainment companies to avoid taxation problems, advised on tax-free insolvencies and administration disputes between corporates and the tax bureau.
