Lee & Ko has just appointed tax and corporate lawyer Ross Harman to partnership, making him the first English barrister to hold this position in a South Korean law firm.
Harman moved to Seoul to join Lee & Ko in 2019 after a three-year stint at Deloitte as a tax consultant in London.
In South Korea, Ross has built a reputation as a go-to expert for international companies seeking to establish their operations in the country, providing them with the full range of legal services to set up and get their business running. A considerable portion of Ross’s practice also involves assisting Korean companies with their outbound work.
Harman has also been elected to the executive committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea, where he will serve as the auditor. In this capacity, he hopes to bring his expertise to further assist British companies that are interested in doing business or are already in Korea.
