The administration of Kolkata’s courts came under fire in July after a lawyer accused officials of harassing litigants and lawyers.
The lawyer, Madan Lal, filed a petition to the Calcutta High Court in a bid to crack down on alleged corruption among administrators of the courts when issuing certified copies of orders.
Lal alleged in his petition that some employees harass litigants and advocates for money while issuing certified copies of orders, The Telegraph reported.
