Dear Sir,

Thank you for publishing the excellent article on cybersquatting (Piracy in another domain, IBLJ volume I issue 7).

There have been over 300,000 “.in” domain name registrations since 2005 of which only 48 have gone to arbitration with the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).

As your article rightly points out, this is just the tip of the iceberg and even as I write this letter, my firm is filing several cases against cybersquatters. Domain tasting is also referred to as an “add grace period” (AGP) by those in the industry. This five-day period is intended to allow good-faith registrants to withdraw their registrations and receive a full refund in the event of any inaccuracies.
