Hai Run Law Firm has opened a new office in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, to boost its business in the Yangtze River Delta area, increasing its China footprint to 10 branches.
The Hangzhou office’s core business will be on legal services in the fields of insolvency and restructuring, non-performing financial assets, corporate governance, and settlement of civil and commercial disputes. Wang Xiaofeng will be the managing partner of the office and Yao Zhengrong will be the executive director.
Hangzhou’s GDP ranked eighth in the country last year, mainly stemming from the development of many new e-commerce and technology companies. The local area has the world’s first internet court, an intellectual property court and four circuit courts of appeals.
