FoxMandal Little has acted for US-French telecom equipment supplier Alcatel-Lucent in the formation of a joint venture with Reliance Communications.
The joint venture will provide CDMA and GSM network services to telecommunications operators and aims to tap the US$16 billion managed network services industry. Its first assignment is to provide managed services for Reliance Communications’ networks in India.
The joint venture will operate around a new legal entity in which Alcatel-Lucent holds a 67% stake and has operational control.
FoxMandal handled the negotiations with Reliance Communications, drew up the joint venture agreement, and is advising in relation to the setup of the new venture.
