The case against foreign law firms filed by a sole practitioner, AK Balaji, in Madras High Court has been adjourned to 25 January 2011.
It was decided on 24 November that the case would be postponed to allow the government extra time to discuss the issue of foreign lawyers in India with the foreign firms named in the suit and the bar councils of India.
The decision was also based on court holidays as Madras High Court would be closed from 24 December to 31 December.
