Rajinder Sharma resigned from Flipkart at the end of July, after serving as its general counsel for 11 months. Sharma had signed a contract to work with the company for a minimum of two years, but said that the delay of its initial public offering left him with little to do.
“There’s not much M&A activity, there’s no legal or regulatory work for a senior guy like me,” he told India Business Law Journal. “It was probably best both for the company and me. Perhaps at the time of their IPO, they may consider calling me back, or I could decide to go back – it all depends on that.”
