Sumes Dewan has joined Desai & Diwanji as a partner in New Delhi, after resigning from Fox Mandal because it “has not been doing too well for various reasons”, he told India Business Law Journal.
Dewan has a strong background in capital markets work and will continue to focus on this area in his new role. He will also be involved in corporate, M&A and private equity work.
Desai & Diwanji’s New Delhi office is headed by Amit Khansaheb. Both Dewan and Khansaheb will be partners-in-charge of this office. The firm has 120 lawyers at its offices in Delhi and Mumbai.
