Global Law Office has recruited four partners and their teams to strengthen its capabilities across the dispute resolution, capital markets, labour and employment, compliance and risk management practices. Registration of the new partners – Li Ming in Shanghai, Lu Guanting in Shenzhen, and Qian Yue and Shi Wenting in Beijing – is underway.

Before joining Global Law Office, Li was a partner at Merits & Tree Law Offices. Earlier in his career, he practised at JunHe and Zhong Lun Law Firm.

Li’s practice covers labour and employment, dispute resolution, compliance and risk management, life sciences and healthcare, and banking and finance. He has represented clients in hundreds of complex employment disputes, with expertise in executive employment contract disputes, collective labour disputes, equity incentive schemes and non-compete matters.

He also has longstanding experience advising banks, financial leasing companies and other financial institutions, as well as large corporates, on civil and commercial litigation and arbitration.

Lu focuses on M&A, equity investment and financing, domestic and overseas capital markets, corporate governance, refinancing for listed companies and commercial dispute resolution. He previously worked at King & Wood and Commerce & Finance Law Offices.

He advises companies throughout their full lifecycle, from startup to listing, and has experience in both transactional and contentious matters. He has led numerous high-profile domestic and overseas listing projects, including A-share IPOs for Baoming Technology and Trina Solar, as well as the H-share IPO of Shum Yip Property Operations.

Lu also advises on foreign direct, direct outbound and round-trip investments, cross-border financing, corporate structuring and tax compliance across sectors including new energy, semiconductors, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

Qian returns to Global Law Office after initially joining in 2019, and has also practised at Jingtian & Gongcheng and Dacheng Law Offices.

Her practice spans equity investments and financing, M&A, private equity funds, dispute resolution, capital markets and corporate governance. She has expertise in designing complex transaction structures and resolving sophisticated commercial issues.

In the private funds sector, Qian advises on fund formation, manager registration and operational compliance, and has represented numerous institutions in manager registration, material change filings, fund registration and ongoing compliance matters.

Shi has 16 years of legal experience. Before rejoining Global Law Office, she was a partner at Beijing-headquartered Dadao Zhengtong Law Firm. Earlier in her career, she spent seven years working in the Beijing court system.

Her practice area includes dispute resolution, family wealth management and succession planning, and labour and employment. She has handled more than 1,000 litigation and enforcement matters, including representing JD Group in commercial disputes involving sales and service contracts, as well as software development and lease agreements.

Shi also has longstanding experience in matrimonial and family law, with expertise in complex family disputes, asset division and wealth succession planning.
