Law firms were kept busy with investors participating in the recent USD20 million series B funding round for AMPA Orthodontics, which operates as Toothsi.
Desai & Diwanji advised Eight Roads Ventures and Think Investments, while Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) advised Toothsi, and AZB & Partners advised Mankekar Family Office. The deal was announced on 6 August.
Desai & Diwanji’s team was led by partner Aneesh Gupte and included associate partner Shireen Langrana and senior associate Shreya Iyer.
CAM’s team comprised partner Dhruv Singhal, senior associate Shweta Pandey and associate Nilomi Doshi.
AZB & Partners’ team comprised partner Anand Shah, senior associate Siddharth Paranjape and associate Golkul Gopakumar.
Dental tech startup Toothsi is expected to use the capital infusion to expand to new cities across the country, bolster its core platform, strengthen its team and build its brand. The company had previously raised USD5 million in a series A funding in January.
