China Commercial Law Firm has opened a new office in Hefei city and its second branch in Anhui province, offering services including financing and compliance in the mainland’s eastern region.
Senior partner Ren Jie, who has expertise in dispute resolution, construction, capital markets, culture and entertainment, is the executive director of the Hefei office. Zhong Yusheng is the director, while Wang Yun is the deputy director of the management committee.
The office will focus on finance, distressed assets, compliance, construction, bankruptcies and restructurings, etc. It is the second office for the law firm following the opening of the Huangshan branch.
Hefei, the provincial capital of Anhui, is not only the secondary centre of the Yangtze River Delta, but also a dual-node city of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
According to the Hefei Lawyers’ Association data as of 2022, the city had 7,720 lawyers, a 15.2% year-on-year increase and law firms outside of the province have set up 60 branches in Hefei.
