Tahota Law Firm has recently received approval to establish a Hefei office, further advancing its strategic expansion in the Yangtze River Delta region.
“The Hefei office will serve as a key anchor in our Yangtze River Delta strategy. Leveraging a strong local team, we will deepen our focus on technology and innovation, intellectual property and cross‑border legal services, while actively integrating into the development of Hefei’s legal services hub,” Liao Huaixue, senior partner at the firm, told China Business Law Journal.
“Within five years, we aim to build a flagship regional practice serving key industries, co-ordinating firm‑wide resources to support local economic development.”
Tahota currently operates 37 offices worldwide, including 29 in the Chinese mainland.
The founding team for the Hefei office comprises nearly 100 lawyers and partners. The new office will prioritise services in intellectual property, the low‑altitude economy, technology and data, corporate compliance, and cross‑border investment and financing.
The Hefei office is expected to officially open in October.
