The Bar Council of India (BCI), the regulatory body for India’s legal profession, has announced plans to lift restrictions on advertising and the use of websites by Indian law firms.
During a conference last month organized by the American Bar Association in connection with the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and India’s Services Export Promotion Council, BCI chairman Manan Kumar Mishra said the BCI was in the process of liberalizing its rules on advertising.
