Dear Editor,
In relation to the article Flying into trouble?, published in the February issue of India Business Law Journal, I believe the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the Competition Appellate Tribunal should not become chaupals [a place where villagers meet and everyone has a say] where anyone can simply delay things. It is not an akhara [a wrestling ring which is open to all]. Systems in this country must become investment friendly and must be perceived to be so. The fact that this is not so at the moment is writ large and frustrations are experienced regularly. Delays of our judiciary are legendary. No other country will countenance such a state of affairs.
