Suresh Amesar, formerly a partner at ANM Global, and his team along with Rachna Vats have joined Anand and Naik’s Mumbai office.
Amesar has more than 19 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, and has served as an in-house counsel for prominent international conglomerates such as Disney and Viacom18.
In an exclusive chat with India Business Law Journal, Amesar said, “Given the growth of technology and consolidation at a larger industry level, the next logical step is convergence. While it is natural and easier to be within the confines of my comfort zone by continuing with the media practice only – I have always believed in raising the glass ceiling. Hence, I wanted to move to a larger set up which helps me to hone my skills.”
Vats joins Anand and Naik as an associate partner, and she has extensive experience as an in-house counsel. Previously, she successfully ran an independent consultancy specialising in technology and media.
