The Association of Corporate Counsel Singapore Chapter (ACC Singapore) has spotlighted environment, social and governance and artificial intelligence as key boardroom priorities in Southeast Asia at its session titled ESG & AI: A Balancing Act for Boardrooms and In-House Counsel.

In partnership with FTI Consulting, ACC Singapore convened senior legal and business leaders at the Mandala Club in Singapore.

Moderated by Tom Evrard, senior managing director at FTI Consulting, the panel addressed a wide spectrum of ESG issues.

Expert speakers included FTI Consulting’s global ESG lead Miriam Wrobel, who said ESG remained a core priority for boards and general counsel globally, requiring a balance between long-term sustainability and immediate business needs.

Fellow speaker Ting Sim, general counsel at GenZero, highlighted evolving climate investment and decarbonisation in Asia.

Meanwhile, Andrew Macintosh, senior managing director at FTI Consulting, pointed to rising regulatory scrutiny around disclosures, investigations and litigation risk.

The session reinforced a clear message: ESG and AI are no longer peripheral concerns but core strategic priorities.
