Maples Group has hired Ian Clark, formerly a partner at Harneys in Hong Kong since 2022, as a partner in the firm’s Asia funds and investment management practice in Singapore.
Having advised clients on a wide range of fund-related matters throughout his career in Hong Kong and the Channel Islands, Clark specialises in hedge and private equity fund products, as well as general corporate matters. He is experienced in Cayman and British Virgin Islands law, with a deep understanding of the Asian market to support Asia-based clients in navigating the complexities of international fund structures.
Ann Ng, Maples Group’s head of the Asia funds and investment management practice in Hong Kong, said Clark’s arrival comes at a pivotal moment as the firm continues to expand its Asia funds and investment management practice.
