Wotton + Kearney is the first major Australian insurance and risk firm to establish a significant office in Singapore, which will open in June.
Ben Nicholson, who is set to join the firm from Kennedys, will head the new office, together with partner Tom Morrison.
Adam Chylek, head of property, energy and infrastructure at Wotton + Kearney, said: “All of the significant international insurers and reinsurers have a base in Singapore, and many of them are our established clients, so it makes sense for us to invest heavily in the region.”
Nicholson has expertise in navigating property, energy, engineering and infrastructure risks across the Asia-Pacific region.
The new office marks Wotton + Kearney’s 10th venture in the Asia-Pacific region and its inaugural presence in mainland Asia.
