Zico Law has established a shariah advisory service in Indonesia on the back of a rise in Islamic banking services in the country.
As Indonesia’s government aims to triple the market share of Islamic banks in the country by 2023, the legal network has established ZICO Shariah advisory services in Indonesia effective from 3 January 2017, under the leadership of Akhmad Affandi Mahfudz.
Previously, Mahfudz was a researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) in Malaysia, a visiting scholar at the Islamic Business School, University Utara Malaysia and the deputy chairman of the Takzia University College of Islamic Economics in
Indonesia.
