Gong Cheng Law Firm and Wintell & Co have completed their merger, creating a new entity named “功承瀛泰律师事务所”, while retaining the English name Wintell & Co.
The national partner committee of the combined firm is led by Chi Rida, founding partner at Gong Cheng, and Mervyn Chen, former managing partner at the previous Wintell & Co.
The firm currently has more than 400 staff, including partners, senior consultants, associates, paralegals, secretaries and operational employees. Shanghai hosts the firm’s headquarters along with 15 branches in the city’s Lingang special area, while it also has offices in Changchun, Changchun new area, Shenyang, Tianjin, Qingdao, Dezhou, Linyi, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Haikou, Wuhan and Nanning.
Holman Fenwick Willan, affiliated with the previous Wintell & Co, will maintain its affiliation with the newly formed combined entity.
