Clifford Chance hired white-collar expert Vasu Muthyala as a partner in its litigation and dispute resolution practice in Singapore.
Matthew Newick, global head of litigation and dispute resolution at Clifford Chance in London, said, “We continue to see strong demand from our clients across the entire spectrum of international regulatory issues. Vasu’s experience and credentials mean he is ideally placed to help our clients navigate these challenges.”
Muthyala, who is a former US Department of Justice prosecutor and US Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement lawyer, moved from Hong Kong, where he was a partner at Kobre & Kim for more than seven years.
With a focus on US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, anti-money laundering, sanctions and securities fraud, Muthyala brings more than 20 years of experience in cross-border government investigations and regulatory enforcement matters. His addition will strengthen the firm’s Asia-Pacific litigation team.
