Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has invested US$85 million in Metropolis Healthcare, an Indian company with a multinational chain of diagnostic centres. As part of the deal, the Indian private equity firm ICICI Ventures has divested its entire holding in the company, which it acquired in 2006. The new investment structure consists of a primary and secondary component and includes additional capital that will be available to Metropolis for expansion and acquisition purposes.
