Mumbai law firms Dhaval Vussonji & Associates (DVA) and Alliance Corporate Lawyers (ACL) are merging to form a 40-lawyer firm. The merger will come into effect on 1 April.
DVA, headed by founder and co-managing partner Dhaval Vussonji and partner Prachi Dave, specializes in real estate, banking and corporate transactions. ACL, led by managing partner RS Loona, focuses on capital markets and securities law, banking and finance, infrastructure, real estate and regulatory advice. Before setting up ACL, Loona served as executive director of law at the Securities and Exchange Board of India for around four years. He also spent many years as chief general manager of legal at IDBI.
