V&T Law Firm has hired six partners to strengthen the workforce in the Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing offices.
Liang Xue, who previously practiced at Hai Run Law Firm, will work from the Beijing office. She has vast experience in dispute resolution in the real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors. Liang has expertise in disputes involving construction contracts, co-development of real estate and equity investments and financing.
Partners You Ru, Zhao Yueliang and Catherine Yuan will be based in the Shanghai office. You and Zhao both left Rödl & Partner to join V&T, while Yuan was a partner at Mind & Sun Partners.
You’s focus is on the investment market, private equity and asset securitisation. She was the head of compliance at a mixed-ownership private equity fund management company, and she is familiar with the popular new energy sector, including lithium batteries and new battery technologies.
Zhao’s expertise covers company affairs, providing advice on litigation and arbitration, labour and human resources, intellectual property and foreign investment. Her clients include international brands Swiss Diamond, Abbott, Air France-KLM, etc.
Yuan concentrates on high net-worth private wealth management, insurance and trusts. She has experience as HNW chief legal consultant at the China headquarters of AIA.
Shao Zhugang and Yang Mingyang will be based at the Nanjing office. Shao’s expertise is in dispute resolution, while Yang focuses on the capital markets. They both act for clients in the real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors. Yang previously worked in Zhilin.
