Veritas Legal has promoted long-term members of the firm, Sukhada Wagle and Areez Gazdar, to partnership.
Wagle has more than 13 years of experience in civil, commercial and criminal litigation. She specialises in white-collar crime and provides pre-litigation strategy and advisory services.
Her expertise includes handling disputes arising from real estate transactions, commercial contracts, insolvency proceedings under the Insolvency Bankruptcy Code, succession issues, petroleum industry regulations and consumer matters.
Gazdar has been with Veritas Legal since its launch in 2015, joining as an associate after completing his articleship at Wadia Ghandy & Co.
His practice encompasses commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on foreign institutional arbitration, insolvency, bankruptcy and securities-related matters.
He also advises and represents regulators, companies and individuals, and assists companies with government tender processes, particularly in the oil and gas, infrastructure, and commodities sectors.
