Varalakshmi Makyam, a seasoned intellectual property rights attorney, has joined Novo Juris as a partner in a move that comes hot on the heels of the firm’s announcement to expand into the US.
Makyam, who became a registered patent agent in 2016, specialises in copyright and trademark registration, the drafting of patent specifications, and the submission of patent applications.
Her expertise extends across both Indian and global patent systems, including proficiency with the USPTO and EPO.
Beyond prosecution, Makyam has represented clients in IPR infringement cases, appearing in both high and district courts in intellectual property matters.
