Japan’s TMI Associates has welcomed Junhee Lee as its newest counsel, bolstering the firm’s expertise in fintech and corporate law.
Prior to joining TMI Associates, Lee worked as a partner at Yulchon in Seoul. From 2003 to 2016, he practised as an attorney-at-law at Seoul-based firm Kim & Chang. He moved into the in-house sector in 2016, working as general counsel for Hyundai Card, Hyundai Capital and Hyundai Commercial. He later took up the role as the deputy general counsel in charge of fintech and payments at Coupang Corporation, an e-commerce company.
Along with his other practice areas, Lee will continue to focus on fintech, financial regulation, data transactions and M&A at TMI Associates.
