Tiantai Law Firm establishes a second office in Shandong province in the city of Qingdao following the opening of its first branch in the provincial capital of Jinan.
The Qingdao office, which has about 50 staff members including partners and lawyers, offers services involving the government, corporate law, intellectual property, real estate and construction, foreign legal matters, criminal defence, dispute resolution, financing and disposal of distressed assets, capital markets, shipping, the internet and digital economy, etc.
The new office will also provide counsel related to international law after the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership took effect last year, which is a trade agreement between all Asean member countries, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
Qingdao is an important core city on the eastern seaboard, is a strategic location under the Belt and Road Initiative and a significant area for the New Eurasian Land Bridge Economic Corridor.
