Simmons & Simmons has hired Wang Yingyu as a partner in its technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) and IP practice in Singapore. Wang joined from Taylor Vinters Via, the Singapore office of Taylor Vinters, where she was managing director for more than five years.
Wang directed Singapore-based Via Law Corporation, an IP and TMT specialist, since 2014 before the boutique firm was acquired by UK-headquartered Taylor Vinters in 2017. The firm has closed its Singapore office following Wang’s departure.
Wang focuses on technology and IP law in litigious and non-contentious matters. She has represented and advised multinational clients on technology adoption, multi-jurisdictional IP regulatory, and financial services regulatory issues on cross-border business expansions.
