Shihui Partners has made strategic recruitments to expand its Beijing office capabilities in the areas of cybersecurity and data protection, and labour law.

The law firm hired Raymond Wang and his team, which includes some senior associates, to boost the firm’s capability in cybersecurity and data protection practices, following Wang’s departure from Anli Partners, where he was managing partner.

With over 18 years of experience, Wang has advised dozens of top tech companies around the world on issues involving the internet, big data, healthcare, automobiles and AI industries. Wang has also provided legal support to central government ministries and local governments on data regulation and legislation.

Based in Beijing, Wang is a guest lecturer on big data and cyber law at top-tier universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University.

Meanwhile, labour law specialists Zhang Hongyuan and Liu Chang also joined Shihui’s Beijing office as partners from King & Wood Mallesons.

They have provided legal services to more than 100 state-owned enterprises, multinational companies and large private companies covering banking, finance, logistics, food, consultancy, insurance, healthcare, software technology, fast fashion, real estate, oil and chemical, and aviation.
