Rajaram Legal advised eyewear retailer Lenskart when existing investors TPG Growth and TR Capital each sold a portion of their stake in the company to Singapore’s Temasek.
The deal, which was part of an INR16.3 billion (USD220 million) round of funding led by Temasek and US asset manager Falcon Edge Capital, was announced on 19 July.
Rajaram Legal’s team was led by partner Priyadarshani Sherchan, and included senior associate Aakanksha Pagnis and associate Vibhu Khanna.
Veritas Legal’s team comprised partner Kunal Doshi, senior associate Natasha Sethna and associate Anish Patel.
On 16 May, KKR had announced a USD95 million investment in Lenskart through a secondary stake acquisition, bringing the total funding size to USD315 million. As part of that deal, which closed on 7 June, TPG Growth and TR Capital each divested a portion of their holdings in Lenskart.
